How can i watch mpegs in linux?
 
hi. i can't seem to find a program that will allow me to watch mpegs. i'm running FC3 and i have helix, totem, and have even had the problem with realplayer. can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong???

Use Xine or realplayer, they work fine.

Have you installed the mp3 codecs? There should be a help file on the Fedora website.

No i haven't tried the fedora site for the codecs. i'll try that. thanks.

You may also try mplayer.
Here is a guide on how to compile/install it in fedora:http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mplayer-fedora.shtml

You need to have the development package(make,gcc, etc) installed in order to do this.
