How can i set-up Linpus Linux in my Acer emachine EL1700-015 Desktop?
 

I just bought Acer emachine EL1700-015, it's preinstalled with linpus linux OS. but, i never ever use linux before.. when it start booting up, all i can see is a dos command, like this :

[root@localhost /]#

what must i do ??

Start using it :) No, serious, you can try startx to get to a GUI.

However, I would assume that you should get a GUI out of the box, so something might be wrong with your computer. Did you read the user manual (when I bought an Acer One a little while back, it came with some instructions).

That sounds very demanding and is usually not appreciated. Everybody here does this in his/her spare time and we usually don't see your problem as something urgent that needs immediate attention.
