Hello all,

If you don't have one start by making a boot disk with the mkbootdisk command so if something goes wrong you have an easy way to get back in.

To uninstall lilo all you have to do is type the command lilo -u and poof it's gone from the MBR.

Download and install the grub package. To install grub check out the installation section in the manual at http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual.

Grub will just overwrite lilo on the MBR if thats where you are going to install it.

what do u want to do

start up some service already there or add command during startup???

for slackware check the services section after u run

pkgtool--->setup--->services

and for coomands check the rc.local file
