How can I rename rar files (name and extension)?

Hi!

I've got a multi-part rar archive that is incorrectly named for extraction. I need to rename from:

A.1
A.2
A.3

to:

X.r00
X.r01
X.r02

I assume this is possible via cli, but I'm pretty new to this so some help would be appreciated. Thank you!

rename is actually the same concept as move:
Code:
mv A.1 X.r00
mv A.2 X.r01
mv A.3 X.r02
