Smile How can I record audio streams with Kubuntu?

Hi,
I simply want to record audio webcasts with stock Kubuntu tools. I just prefer to not download and install more software, if I can help it...

Thank you

Hi,

this forum has a so called "zero reply list" which means, that threads without any follow ups will be pushed to the top after some hours automatically.

So do yourself a favour and don't answer your own thread in order to push it to the top.

Your question: the VLC-mediaplayer allows for a stream as inputfile. Afaik you can save this stream as a mediafile, e.g. mp3 or flv.

There are also plugins for the firefox-browser, look for example here: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefo...at=all&x=0&y=0 or https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefo...=all&x=26&y=13

Markus
