have you defragged your windows partition? that would be the first step before resizing w/ any partition manager.

i could be wrong, but, i believe you have that backwards. i would think auto partition would wipe the whole drive, and, manual should give you some options as to how to partition, or resize, ...etc.

partition magic will cause problems if you have not defragged the file sys. i
have even seen partition magic corrupt a file sys after the defrag was done correctly.
