Question how can i install two linux distros in my hard drive beside windows


Hi, these are my partitions https://photos-3.dropbox.com/t/0/AAA...80&size_mode=2
the first one for windows xp, and the ext4 for ubuntu, i installed linux mint in the free space, but when the pc booted it only asked me to boot with ubuntu or windows, should i make a dev/sda3 partition? or how else can i have ubuntu, win and mint?

Dropbox I can't access without an account. Can you paste the output of fdisk -l?

If it's an old MSDOS partition table, you can have a maximum of four primary paritions, and Windows must be on a primary partition. Linux does not have such a restriction.

What do you mean by install Mint in the free space? In the free space of a logical partition? Maybe installing/updating grub when you installed linux Mint failed.

boot in Ubuntu then in terminal type
Code:
sudo update-grub
type your password and let it run.

Once is done running reboot your computer and post back how did it go.

Did you update grub2 with an entry for Mint? If not, you will not see it as a choice.

You will need to boot into ubuntu to update grub2.
