how can i install netconf

hi all... this is my first time with linux... ive installed mdk 10 and ive like it so much... but i have some problems im trying to set my home network.... but ive been able to do it... now im reading some examples over the net but they ask to run netconf... ive logged as root... but now it says that theres no netconf command... i read another post where they suggested locate netconf i run it and it just find some icons files named knetconf.png i used rpm-q netconf but says there no such file... im very new to linux... i dont know so much about basic stuff... although im with this since last week.... id appreciate any help on this... or even links to sites where i can get some help with home networking... except for this im very happy about using linux instead of window$....
