Look at the GParted website, you should be able to download & install their LiveCD image and burn it onto a CD. Using this CD you can resize your Linux partition and create a Windows partition (ntfs/fat32) that your Windows install disk should be able to see. Good luck!

Hello and welcome to LinuxQuestions.org!

What you want to do is dual boot your system.

First and foremost, what version of windows are you looking to work with? Second of all, there are many tutorials on the internet for dual booting windows and linux. I highly recommend you try searching on google and/or these forums first before posting a new thread. To start, have a look here:

http://thpc.info/dual/win7/dualboot_...b_on_win7.html
This link is for getting Windows 7 and Fedora 11 dualbooted, just for reference. Also mind you, the latest version of Fedora is Fedora 14.

Welcome again, and good luck.

Josh

Really? I think any reasonable person would know that the term crack in this instance, from the context in which it was used, referred to a smart-alecky or mocking comment, and not a drug. Surely I hope that if I drop a plate, and then comment, "uh oh, there's a crack in it now," that I won't have some nut telling me that such observations "will not be tolerated". Admittedly, if I drop my glass crack-pipe, and comment, "uh oh, there's a crack in it now," then granted, the meaning in such a circumstance of my usage of the term "crack" may not be clear. But such was not the case in jbiggs12 comment, who merely speculated that a mocking comment (aka a crack) had somehow been made on Windows 7.

+1 TO that. My thumbs are like mini-sausages, and each time I hit my spacebar, I need to manually reflect my thumbs upward, or else I insert about 5 or 6 spaces.....
