How can i import my smbpasswd file into LDAP ??

Hi members,

I want to upgrade my system with OpenLDAP(at present running samba PDC)and a large number of users is authenticating with Samba PDC.
The main problem in upgrading from Samba PDC to LDAP is that how can i import my smbpasswd file into LDAP because if it is not possible to import samba passwd file into LDAP then i have to add a large number of users into LDAP system which will take a lot of down time.

I searched all the forums and got some tips to import smbpasswd file into LDAP ( Like Perl scripts to import smbpasswd file into LDAP) and i tried a lot with all the necessary steps to import ( Like installing Net::LDAP packages) but all are in vein. The output of scripts is showing that user is added but when i searched the user with the LDAP search command but there is no output. I don't know where i am wrong.

If u have any idea to resolve the issue then please show me the way to import smbpasswd file into LDAP PDC with all the requirements in detail. This is my first question in this forum.

Thanks & Regards
Niraj Kumar.
