How can I download linux OS
 
Hi All,

I am new to linux and on the these site. As a beginner, can someone help me which version/type of linux opearting OS I need to download . Because as it is now on these site I am seeing different types of linux OS. I will also be greatful if a step-by-tutorial is made available for it installation

http://distrowatch.com/ to download a ISO. Since you are new I will provide a Ubuntu step by step since you have not stated which distro you will use in your post with so little info provided.

As a beginner you will probably want to start with one of the easy to install and use desktop distros. Ubuntu may be a good choice, but there are others which can also be easy to install and use.
