How can i change my local host?


Hello everyone

Once again , another problem on this new discover

by default , my machine is named as localhost.

however, i want to change it.
1- is this possible ?
2 - if possible, how can i do it?

There's several ways to do it. One is to simply type hostname new-name at a command prompt, where new-name is the name you want to use. You will, of course, have to be root to do this.

Alternatively, there's probably an option somewhere in a graphical configuration program, but I don't know what this is on FC3.
