How can I allow my users to have a web page?

Hello:

Ok, I know (because this is the way my user is already setup in the university server) that my ftp folder has a www folder inside.

The index.html page I upload to that folder is automatically published on the web address server/~myuser.

How this happens???

I have a RedHat 7.0 server with apache 1.3 and I want to set all my users that way?

Any help will be appreciated.

it sounds like the way that apache is configured. They have set up maybe ?virtual directories? on the system the point to the www folder in the user's home directory. Apache will pull the index.html or what ever content out of that particular directory when the URL for it is accessed. Never done it myself, but it sounds like a pretty simple config.
