To do what? It would depend upon the use you will make of the drive, standard home computer, use as a server??

I suggest all but 2GB for / and the last 2GB for swap.
I'm guessing you don't want dual boot.
I'm guessing you want to set up a fairly ordinary workstation or small server on fairly ordinary hardware.
I'm guessing your question is mainly about whether /boot or /home etc. should be separate partitions. If you have to ask then the answer is no.

Splitting /boot or /home out to their own partition(s) may be a good idea if you have a specific reason for doing so and you understand that reason and you can predict the use of the system well enough to make an informed choice on how big each should be. Otherwise it is a bad idea.

If I incorrectly guessed the context of your question, ask again providing some context.

I recommend making a data partition. I mount mine in my home folder. I store all my media in it. The reason i do this instead of having a home partition is because all your config files are located in your home folder, so if you want to dual boot, you won't have conflicting config files based on versions. It also makes it very easy to wipe out my disro and replace it, if i desire without any effecting anything.
