How 2 change command line based SUSE LINUX enterprise Server to GNOME or KDE based?

Hi,

I have a virtual machine with SUSE Linux Entperise 10 SP2 (I586) installed. However, the default setting is using command line based interface.

Is it possible to change it to be GNOME or KDE based interface ?

Thanks very much for your help

regards

Roy

Normally, you'd edit /etc/inittab and change the initdefault line to have a 5 instead of a 3.
You may need to edit the '/etc/X11/prefdm' line as well.
See numbered lines (1) and (20) here http://www.comptechdoc.org/os/linux/...runlevels.html
