Horizontal and Vertical sync rates??

Hi, I have to fill out a form that asks for the horizontal and vertical sync rates. I've been looking through the NVIDIA X server settings trying to find something but no luck. I looked on various sellers websites for the information but it's not there either. I have SAMSUNG syncmaster 220WMs, the most I have is 5 ms response time but I'm not sure if that's the correct information.

Thanks,
Chris

To find that information, look at Samsungs web site for the monitor. The definitions in xorg.conf need to match the hardware.

Horizontal sync rates will vary from about 40 to 100 K Hz, vert sync from 50 to over 100 Hz, depending on monitor hardware.

The only way to tell is from a spec sheet for your monitor.

Search reveals that:
Quote:
HorizSync 30-81
VertRefresh 56-75
Source: http://forum.mandriva.com/viewtopic.php?t=75508

However, the monitor's manual is the best reference.

http://www10.dealtime.com/xPF-Samsung-SyncMaster-220WM

The above link shows the specs you're after. For guaranteed accuracy, the users manual that comes with the monitor should be consulted though.

For comparison, my SyncMaster 2243WM uses the following specs (same as the above link shows for yours):
Code:
    HorizSync 30.0 - 81.0
    VertRefresh 56.0 - 75.0
And generally, an LCD such as these operate at a vertical refresh rate of pretty near 60Hz.

Oops Mara beat me to it!
