I'm new user in Linux forum, actually there is no doubt you're powerful and advanced members. I want to know how can I start learning Linux, IS there to learn Linux without reading books actually theory part it gives me booring feeling.

If You want to Learn linux, The Best Subjectline would be "New to Linux" This would help everyone to help you easily.Second Thing, I notice that No Need to mention such words like You are powerful and advanced ...NoOne is Powerful Here All are equal and comes here for Linux Help.That sounds irritating. Though you are new to this forum, Follow up with rules and do read how Linux Enthusiasts and newbies are posting the queries.

You can start by trying to install a Linux distro on your computer. The most important skill would be effective googling.
Have fun.

Learning by doing is the best concept. Start with any of the installed tools that you run into, and get to know it better. Don't do your testing as 'root', unless you want to exercise re-installations a lot. In time everything will fall into place.

Actually it will be learning by failing or crashing-but that's the best way. If you have an old PC it's better as you can thrash it out with multiple disk wipes and reinstalls.
Then after a little while you'll download Slackware 12.2 and realize it's the Top Dog among distro's.

Welcome hollow man,

A little bit of reading is necessary. Pick any installation from the top 10 and "play" with it; however, don't try to learn everything at once. Read in the forum problems as the come along, google it a you will be doing fine.
Assuming that you're coming from Microcrab there is going to be a mind change.

Welcome Hollow man! you sound like me 2 years ago when i started using linux! a friend of mine introduced me to OpenSuse and stayed hooked to it ever since. Try downloading the LIVE CD version, pop it on your CD-ROM and see if you like it, if not you could always download other LIVE CDS. Distros that I have used :

- OpenSuse
- Ubuntu
- Knoppix
- BT3 (Has a lot of Network Security Tools)
- Mandrake (Played with it a bit a few years ago)

actually i'm a college student and this is last semester for me and i'm cooperative trainee in one company and one guy gave me a Sam's tech yourself Linux in 24 hours and its total pages around 400 papers because of that it feels me booring. :confused:
Also there is one guy told it's better if use a VMWARE software to use Linux and actually they're useing RedHat (5 - 5.1 - 4) versions. when i tried to install linux red hat enterprise 5 desktop in the vmware software it show me something in the picture in the attachment.

Are you using x64_86 Architecture of RHEL 5?
Download or Insert RHEL 5 32 Bit.
It may help you out.
