hm...I think i installed bittorrent/limewire but how do i find them?

Hello everyone. I went into packages and installed bittorrent GUI client and bittorent itself, but I have no idea where the program is now or how i can run it. Also if i hav e a makefile, how do i actually install it in command line? Like if i untarred somthing, then what do i do with it? Sorry im' very noob like and about to commit noobacide. I'm running KDE 3.2

In most cases, once you've untarred it, all you need to do is just run:
./configure
make
make install (might need root permission for this one)

As for finding bittorrent, you can try kappfinder, which is generally in your 'settings' menu (it says 'menu updating tool'). Kde will probably put it in 'internet'. If this doesn't work then you will have to find them manually using 'which' or 'locate'

Thanks for the responce, I did the ./configure make, make install, and now it created another program folder called kit i moved into the kit directory and now i see a green kit* but i tried typing in kit and it doesn't run the program, now how do i run the program?

I also ran kappfinder which worked nicely but it didn't find bittorrent or limewire, they were both .rpm's

so i tried locate and it talked about creating a database under root
