hibernation

I tried to install the hibernate source-rpm from suspend2.net, but something went wrong:

hibernate_1.10-2_i386.deb generated
1 not fully installed or removed.
chown: `b:b': invalid user
chown: `b:b': invalid user
Xandros Networks has detected the following error:
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Xandros Networks detected errors while processing the following file(s):
hibernate
Xandros Networks has detected that dpkg has returned with error code (1)
Please retry your installation.
Done.

Providing the error msg. is a good thing to do, but distro & other background are lacking -- esp. are you trying to convert a DEB to an RPM? & if so, how?

A quick look @ the http://suspend2.net site indicates "[DEB coming soon]". I hope you are not trying to install an RPM package using Debian tools meant for DEB's.

Xandros works with RPM's and Deb's.

Well, an RPM is what I saw available for download...I didn't see any DEBs. If anything, my Xandros Networks is trying to convert the RPM to a DEB; I thought I saw a message about that. The inability to get any hibernate functionality working is probably even more puzzling than my early failures in installing Ndiswrapper, which was unnecessary because it was already there.
