Hi, I'm a new italian Member and new of Linux.....
I have some problems with Java that downloading on my pc for game billiard yahoo pool. Wrong Java version???

Which distribution are you using? Ubuntu, Mandriva, Suse, Fedora, something else? 32 bit or 64 bit?

The windows of the game is opened but if clic on the table for game appears my nick name but the table is not opened.....
20 years that using windows......
Ubuntu is not for me......

Did you install the sun jre package? The thing is that ubuntu has more than one version of java. I suggest that you open up a terminal (Applications > Accessories > Terminal) and post the output of this command:
aptitude search java
That should show which version is currently installed in your system.

you probably need the sun version of java..ubuntu installs java by default..but its not sun java..
