Download one of your favourite linux distro iso and burn it to cd/DVD or bootable usb and install the operating system

Either follow the instructions on any popular distribution of Linux, or provide more details about your computer (and intended use), so we have some basis for giving more specific advise.

1. Pick one of the distros discussed here:

2. Go to their website and read the install instructions

Does your computer already have an existing operating system on it?

If so do you want to keep that operating system and add another or let the Linux distro of your choice completely take over the entire hard disk drive?
