[root@ns1 sysconfig]# service squid restart
Stopping squid: [FAILED]
Starting squid: [ OK ]


I have removed the log and spool files and recreated but still I am having problem with the above message and the interent is not working.. I need your help.. Thanks

Looks like squid is not running when you give the restart command, which probably means it is trying to start but dying soon thereafter. I'd recommend investigating its log file to look for error messages.

Thank you so much Btmiller. When I do service squid status, its showing
squid (pid 3070 3068) is running...
squid: ERROR: No running copy. What could be the problem? Thanks in advance.
