Hi Everyone! DIVX Help RedHat 9

I just recently turned my laptop into a Linux Box w/ RH9 due to my friend how "knows" Linux. I asked for a couple Divx movies he had and he gave them to me, but I cannot seem to get Xine or MPlayer to work. I have used the patch that allows u to play such files, I just cant get the libs and ui's to work together because there's always some other lib missing or it can't find a need aalib or what not and I just need help w/ it.

Also I'm trying to turn my laptop into a router for my house so I can have Linux security. I'm doing it right now w/ XP Pro by sharing the connection an plugging my cable modem to my computer through usb. My laptop has 2 NICs one built in and a PCMCIA slot one and if any of u know how to config that I'd appreciate any help u can give. Thanks All!!

patch? what patch? a *default* source install of MPlayer will allow you to play divx straight away.

you certainly won't need aalib. the rpm's should be fine to install by dafult, there is MPlayer-skins MPlayer-common and MPlayer itself i think, personally i'd just say install from source.
