Hi Everyone


Hi everyone I recently got myself an Acer Aspire one netbook running Linux I'm not really sure which verson though!
I was wandering also if anyone could help me out I am trying to get Limewire or like downloaded onto the netbook it does download it but when it comes to the section where it says open it just wont seem to download onto my netbook any and all help will be greatly appreciated...

It seems other people have had similar problems, and some have successfully used VLC as a replacement:

Welcome to LQ!
Check /etc directory for a lsb-release file.It will show what distro you're running.For Limewire to run you need java runtime environment,so check if you have it installed.
Post the output of uname -a from the terminal / Konsole.
What kind of package have you downloaded;deb,rpm,tar.gz...?

Hi sorry if I sound totally stupid but I have always used windows how do I get the run command up to do this and could someone please put a easy walk through up for me please it would be greatly appreciated!
