Again, SPELL OUT YOUR WORDS. Text-speak is against LQ rules...if you can't bother typing out a question, why should be bother answering it?
Posting the same question a second time is pointless, and tells us that you've not read the replies. You've been given a link, did you read it? Did you read the release notes on the NS site? If you bothered to Google for this, you'd find it easily:
Distribution: PCLinuxOS2023 Fedora38 + 50+ other Linux OS, for test only.

@OP(sindhu subramanian): It is not against the LQ Rules to use SMS or abbreviated text but it is poor Netiquette.

Netiquette is a set of social conventions that facilitate interaction over networks, ranging from Usenet and mailing lists to blogs and forums.

@members: I do suggest that the LQ Rules should be re-read to keep ones understanding up to date.

My apologies. I was under the impression that it was, but I stand corrected.
...It is not against the LQ Rules to use SMS or abbreviated text...
The following is a quote from your link:

I remember abbreviations to be a part of our English course when I was in school. But SMS language is NOT a part of English, this piece of text: "2 U Frm E", has no meaning in British English, and cannot be considered valid English in any way! Do you still think writing in SMS language doesn't breach the above quoted rule?

Off Topic!
I'm not going to get into a argument over semantics. The abbreviate text is derived from English. It is rude to use such text in a technical content along with not providing a thorough thought laid out within the sentence. Now if you say that 'u' which is a abbreviated symbolic for 'you' from the English language is not related then I would have to go by your rule. But you need to understand 'Netiquette' is the violation we are speaking of here not a Rule violation.
There's nothing wrong with SMS or abbreviated text when it's used for the communication methods it is intended for and agreed use by all parties concerned. LQ is not the place! But do not say it is a violation of the LQ rules, which is not correct. But this form is not the norm for proper Netiquette. We all abbreviate some, but that too within content must be defined somewhere.
I personally do not care for SMS, abbreviated text nor anyone who does not give some thought when communicating by using such. Nothing more than a poor lazy form of information exchanges.
Slang, morphing or even mangled wording has caused more problems when communicating, now throw in text communication and things get wild enough. I'm lucky, the machine makes sure that the 'i' is dotted and the 't' is crossed. But add in some grammar and the lack of face to face communication and then things get real wild or weird.
As I said before: 'semantics'
Enough said!
Anisha, if you wish to continue this discussion then PM me. This is not the place.

As a new member you did not understand the way things should be presented. You will find helpful members here on LQ. Several members have suggested several good ideas to help you.
As for the request for coding for NS2. Several members have suggested that you do a search. I suggest that <Linux> - Google would be a good place to start. If you want snippets of code or use of NS2 then the search will get loads of hits.
