Any of these three will do great for you: Mandrake, RedHat/fedora or SuSE. If you buy their box product, you are eligible for customer support, and its gonna be a biiiiiig difference.
But you may prefer to download isos from the net and rely on us, forum users, for support. This is nonpro, and not guaranteed.

Be welcome!

To download Linux you must have a broadband connection, cause you are downloading huge files. Take a look at: www.linuxiso.org. This is a great resource to learn how to download and burn a linux install cd.
If you plan to buy a box:
SuSE:
www.suse.com or www.suse.co.uk
RedHat:
www.redhat.com
Mandrake:
http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en-us/

Even Amazon.com can be helpful.

In Europe, SuSE is the most used commercial Linux distro. I'm guessing it must be easier to get technical support and stuff.

There are linux programs that allow you to use the msn network. Not the same as you already know, but very efficient, also.

ICQ: 64448555
I'm leaving the computer for a while. Be back in ~1 hour, ok?
