Samba should already be running in the background. You're all set to go! Just start editing the /etc/samba/smb.conf file. Remember to restart the samba service after making changes!
I now can see the login from my windows machine but it will not accept my username or password. I am thinking that they need to be set in smb.conf or do you send them from the terminal. Have full access to all drives on the windows machine, from the linux machine, but nothing looking from windows to the linux box other than the login. Thanks..
