i wish i still had my hp network all-in-one so i can remind myself what i did to get it working.

i remember not knowing what to do, but after running hplip i did something to make the pc scan the netowrk to find the printer and began printing. (it worked on end-of-life fedora-15 so i'm assuming a recent mint should work even better).
