Help with netconf setup
I have a D-link DSL router set-up with the following settings.
IP: 192.168.0.1 NetMask 255.255.255.0 DNS 207.203.159.252 & 205.152.37.254 (bellsouth dns)
Now for my problem. I can get to the net fine from both my linux machines when I have them set up for dhcp. But, my server running mandrake 8.1 cannot get to the internet when I set it up to use a static ip (192.168.0.9) and yes all the ips are able to get out to the net. I know I have the configuration set up basically correct because I can get to the machine through telnet and webmin from all my other machines. Here is my set-up on networking.
IP: 192.168.0.9
router: 192.168.0.1
netmask: 255.255.255.0
DNS: 207.203.159.252 & 205.152.37.254 (also tried 192.168.0.1)
Any suggestions? The internet works when i use dhcp just not when I statically assign an ip.
P.S. I do not have x11 installed on the server so I will be using command line only.
