Help with Live CD changes
I need help with live CD, first I know nothing about Linux, can't find any one to help locally. I have a special application for a live CD.
I am using Live Firefox for now but the problem is it can't print locally and printing locally is most important. What I need is Firefox Live with printing capabilities. The printers are HP laser jet 5L/6L and Epson FX. It needs to print HTML and Adobe PDF's on the local LPT1.
The software is used for searching material safety data sheets then printing them in case of an emergency (some are popup PDF's). The computer is an older AMD (700mhz) sitting in a hall way at a school (if it was newer it would be stolen and If there is any other software besides the browser the computer will be used to print mounds and mounds of paper).
I would like to install the iso on an IDE-CF card and do away with the CD and hard drive completely. I am extremely impressed with Live firefox (linux), it has been on the computer for a year and has never crashed, withstood thousands of fingers picking away at it, survived power failures, brown outs and etc.
How can I add printing to Live Firefox or modify another flavor to have only a browser and printing? Can Puppy Linux be modified this way?
As you can tell I am lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks to all who take the time to consider my problem.
