Help with Kismet configuration

I have to edit the source line but what is meant by sourcetype ?
I think interface will be eth1 and name can be anything.
I have tried source=Dell,eth1,dellwifi
and i get an error message with Kismet
Unknown capture source type "Dell"

I have Lenny running on a dell laptop and pccardctl ident reveals :-

Socket 0
no product info available
Socket 1
no product info available
Socket 2
product info : "Dell","Truemobile 1150 Series PC Card","Version 01.01",""
manfid: 0x0156, 0x0002
function: 6 (network)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks
Tony

You need to look in the Kismet documentation and see which sourcetype (driver) your adapter uses. It lists the different source configurations and which device drivers they work with, you just have to find the right one and put it in that line.

Though you might want to try upgrading to the latest build of Kismet. A completely redesigned version has just recently been released after 5+ years in development, among the many many improvements made to this release is automatic detection of capture devices. You no longer need to manually setup the different devices before hand, and in fact, Kismet can now handle hotplugged devices while running.
