Help with installation of gnome-cups-manager
I am running Fedora9. I am trying to install gnome-cups-manager from a tar.bz2 file format. After I did './configure' I got the following error:
Code:
checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes |
I don't know the answer to your question but I have an idea. You can administer CUPS from your web browser. Just point your web browser to localhost:631. When you want to change something it will ask you to log on. I use the root account to log on or you can create an lpadmin account and set the password for it to something that you know.
Otherwise I would guess that you can use yum to install all of the listed dependencies. |
The address http://localhost:631/
suggested by stress_junkie will take you to a very reliable printer setup tool. The gnome-cups-manager requires some "packages-devel" to compile, I would not recommend doing it. And some files may not be available for Fedora 9. Regards |
