How did you try to access the setup?

it comes on a livecd so it runs the setup from the cd from what all i can tell, according to its website you can install it to the hdd from there.

It sounds like its trying to mount folder taht arent there but thing is i dont understand why those directories arent on the cd. I ran cfdisk and create a linux boot partition
I would assume a setup cd would create it's own directories, the website claims it should just shoot straight to the setup then you can install from there

http://wolphination.com/linux/2006/0...dreamlinux-20/ says it should run off the cd

if you are a first time linux user i suggest using ubuntu or pclinuxos. ther are perfect for newbies. i am a newbie also. but i guess you wanna try it because it is brazilian.

you can ask dreamlinux forums. they will be more helpful to you. http://www.dreamlinux.com.br/forum/

sorry for not being more enlightening. trying my best.

update

Hi guys just so as you know...Dreamlinux has its own section now
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/dreamlinux-82/

and richs-lxh and some others from Dreamlinux are only to willing to help would be Dreamlinux users.

Please don't take this the wrong way ...but I always think it is polite to go to the distro's own forum to see what it is made of.

I hope you feel like dropping in from time to time to see how Dreamlinux is doing.

Have a good Christmas guys and hope to see you later
