Help with deleting a file on an NTFS filesystem

I did a restore from a windows backup that did not quite work... there are some applications that are not working... and they will not let me delete them... or uninstall them from the hard drive. Normally I would take the disk drive, stick it in my Mac OS X machine and delete the file from there... but even there it will not be deleted because of permissions... next i put the disk back in the windows machine and took my knoppix cd and booted from it... the ntfs disk mounts to the desktop... I go to delete the file and it is still there. My question is do you guys know a way to delete this file from knoppix? I need to be able to bypass the permissions settings. thx in advance.

As of today there isn't permission to write to a NTFS partition, so I am assuming that you can't delete these files.

Thanks for giving me yet another reason to stay away from Windoze!

Just to clarify, there are some experimental ntfs drivers that will write to ntfs partitions but they're not 100% reliable. They're shipped with the 2.6 kernels and the knoppix cd uses a 2.4 kernel without the ntfs write patch.
