Hello all,
The person who usually admins our Suse 7.1 box is out of town for a few days and I have a 2 parter. One is super easy I am sure the other maybe not so easy. 1. I have set up a scheduled task in cron. It is already to go. There is just one problem. I don't know how to exit cron! And then, is there a command that I need to type to make the new task active? The second question. We went from Suse 6.4 to 7.1 and in the process have a problem with our server locking up after several hours of inactivity. Any ideas? Thanks for your help in advance. |
Most versions of cron use vi as the editor. Typing either "ZZ" or ":wq" should save the file and exit.
