Hello all,
The person who usually admins our Suse 7.1 box is out of town for a few days and I have a 2 parter. One is super easy I am sure the other maybe not so easy.
1. I have set up a scheduled task in cron. It is already to go. There is just one problem. I don't know how to exit cron! And then, is there a command that I need to type to make the new task active?

The second question. We went from Suse 6.4 to 7.1 and in the process have a problem with our server locking up after several hours of inactivity. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Most versions of cron use vi as the editor. Typing either "ZZ" or ":wq" should save the file and exit.
