Help! Why is my mouse doing this?

*I put this under Linux Newbies since it's done this in Ubuntu and Linux Mint*

*But I'm using Linux Mint 10 now in Virtualbox, Running under Vista, Linux Mint 10 is based on Ubuntu 10.10*

*It's done this with both my Wacom mouse and my Laptop's built in mouse buttons by the trackpad. But it's only happened once with the Laptop's buttons, So maybe a coincidence.

My problem is sometimes just single clicking or double clicking something doesn't open it. I have to single or double click it again. It's like the first click didn't go through.

What can I try to fix this?.

I've already tried making the Double-Click timeout a little longer.

Anything else?.

Thanks

Not sure. I just download regular Virtualbox and set up Mint. Didn't do anything else. Could installing that help?.

Thanks everybody!

With the Guest additions comes extended mouse support, that may solve your issues. You can see how to install them here.
