Help to install .sh program.

Just installed Unbuntu from Windows XP. Logged on to ubuntu as root user.
Downloaded netbeans-6.7.1-ml-java-linux.sh.
Now it's in /home/m77/Desktop/ dir.
How to install it?
After double clicking i get:
Unicode (UTF-8) character coding.
Please check that you are not trying to open a binary file.
Select a different character coding from the menu and try again.

What encoding should i choose? Or maybe I'm doing it completely wrong.
Thanx.
