help to install hellanzb
 

Hi peeps can any one help to install and configure hellanzb-0.5.tar.gz in Mandriva very new to tar file making and configuring i have tyred but it not easy to do when you do not know what are doing (newbie) very

What have you done so far? The typical setup is:

1) Unpack/untar

2) Check the README! (prereqs, other special instructions)

3) configure

4) make

5) make install

Hi blahblahblah this is how far i have got
$ cd ~
$ tar -xvfz hellanzb-0.9.tar.gz
$ cd hellanzb-0.9
$ sudo python setup.py install
i have installed Python tryed to install Twisted but keep
Traceback (most recent call last):

from twisted import copyright

raise ImportError("you need zope.interface installed "
ImportError: you need zope.interface installed

i have installed zope
par2cmdline is installed
rar is installed

I plan on installing this tonight actually. I'll post back what I did to get it working (that is if I get it working).

I'm currently using nzbperl and it works great but Hellanzb looks pretty nice.

Hi Mithrilhall how did you get on installing hellanzb i keep getting this problem every time i do a python setup.py install i get this error: invalid Python installation: unable to open /usr/lib/python2.4/config/Makefile (No such file or directory)
i have installed Klibido to download my nzbs and it installs very easy and works fine but can you let me know if you get hellanzb to install and work

Hellanzb works perfect for me.

What distro are you running?

Guys, i'm still stuck at the "you need zope.interface installed" error. I have installed the zope interface.

hi Adam i have got hellanzb all working what linux os are you using the packages you need are ZopeInterface-3.1.0c1 Twisted-2.4.0 TwistedWeb-0.5.0 par2cmdline-0.3 hellanzb-0.10-trunk or hellanzb-0.9 and i have install Python-2.5 unrar try and get the tar becouse some of the rpm do not work I have got hellanzb to work on mandriva a suse and pclinulos once you have install zope you need to make a system link to the python config file you will find it here /usr/lib/python2.4/config if it not here you will have to install some more of pythons Adonis like python setuptools python twisted and python zope interface ths is how i install and got it to work in mandriva it the same in suse in pclinux it very easy to get working as most of the packets you need are ready installed and are easy to find . if you have any problems installing or configuring hellanzb let me know what linux os you have and i will help you to install it Thanks madman100 :)
