Simple shell scripting, or perl doesnt matter. I,m using the bash shell, and i,m very new to scripting

Things I know are for loops, select loops, if statements, sed, awk, and some grep.

any help would BE GREATLY GREATLY appreciated.

Please post what you've got. This also goes for your other shellscript question. And please don't post duplicate threads.

unspawn I,m having problems even getting started, I,m trying to think of ways to do this and I was asking what would be the best way to go about it. What do you mean posting duplicate threads? I had two questions and needed two separate answers, should I have posted them in the same thread?
