Help removing kubuntu from my computer. Primarily an XP machine.

Hey, I know you guys don't want to hear this, but I need to install kubuntu from my machine. It's set up to dual boot windows xp or kubuntu. Please help me get this done. I'm planning on putting on a different HD later on, but I don't need it now. Thanks

gparted is a paritioner also available as a livecd, but there is a version of it called qparted that comes with kubuntu, its the same thing but uses qt instead of gtk

If you don't have a Windows install disk, STOP. If you delete the Linux partition, your system will not be bootable.

GParted is only one of many ways to do this---it is a Linux partition editor which comes with many distros and on a bootable CD---very handy to have.

I "think" that the Windows partition manager will delete any partition. Also, if you have a "Live CD" version of Linux, you can do it from there. Look in the menus for GParted, or maybe QTParted. If there is nothing, then open a terminal and use fdisk.

You will also need to boot from the Windows install CD--enter rescue mode. When you get to a prompt, enter fixmbr, and then reboot.
