Hi all, I bought my girlfriend an acer aspire one a couple years back which she loved and was still using up until a couple months ago when some weird logo appeared on her desktop and the wifi and Ethernet port stopped working all at once. I've tried re-installing the operating system but it also seems like the USB drives have stopped working too. The logo is in the image posted in this post. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone
Looks like I can't post an image but I will do my best to describe the image. It looks similar to a depiction of the sun ten small triangles in a ring. Not a lot to go on but if anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Thanks for that, It doesn't look like they found a solution to the problem, I know that the wireless is turned off but I am unable to turn it back on. It's almost like its been permanently disabled. If I can't figure it out Iight just have to call it a day and be done with it. Thanks for your help though I appreciate it.
It might be that the hardware is dying, bit by bit. Try booting another Linux off USB/DVD: if it doesn't work, that's it. If it does, you can replace Linpus with it. Try Fuduntu; it was forked off Fedora, like Linpus, so it will be fairly familiar.
