HELP - only can see top left part of screen

Hi, I recently installed Linux Mint on my mother's PC, and it all went well, except there is a problem now! I can only see top left corner on the whole screen, about a quarter of a screen, even in the login screen! I need help, what can I do?
I can't see start menu or anything.

Have you gone to the display options and try different settings there? also you can run and install all the upgrades available for your computer, perhaps that might fix a broken driver or something.

Good luck to you.
