Help on installing LightZone?
 

Hi. I downloaded Light Zone for Linux and I could not seem to make it work. These are the steps that I have done:

1. I downloaded LightZone.rev.8224.tar.gz and saved it at /home/mapmaker.
2. With Terminal, I typed su for accessing root.
3. While in root, I typed tar zxfv LightZone.rev.8224.tar.gz -C /home/mapmaker and it seems fine because I created a directory but nothing happened.

Now, it seems that it was not installed properly and its not working. How do I make it work? Thanks.

Run the 'LightZone' script in the LightZone directory?

I opened the Lightzone script with Kate and Kwrite but nothing happened. How do I run the Lightzone script? Thanks.

Try "sh /home/mapmaker/LightZone/LightZone".

Thanks I was able to run Lightzone but it is not in the menu. How do I create a menu entry? Thanks.
