Help on configuration RH7.1 sound card

I am totally new to Linux. I really need your help!
I just installed my Rh7.1. By following get-start-guide, login as root and password, then command sndconfig. It said "bash:sndcoonfig:command not found". What should I do? I need this feature for my project, please please help! Thanks in advance.

First of all.. you spelled sndconfig sndcoonifig in your post. I"m sure that was just a typographical error though. Try /sbin/sndconfig and see if that doesn't help ya out. That's where the executable is on my machine at least. So just log in a root and type

/sbin/sndconfig

at the prompt and that should get you started.
