Help newbie for routing....


I have linux (mandrake 9.2) box which supposed to share net connection to the windows XP
box. Linux box has two ethernet cards (eth0 and eth1). Eth0 is for internet and works fine, but eth1
doesn't work. I'm using shorewall. Network monitor logs says the following: "kernel: Shorewall:net2allROP:IN=eth0 OUT= MAC=00:30:4f:0b:26:06:00:0b:fc:43:e0:54:08:00 SRC=4.249.225.70 DST=62.241.217.201 LEN=48 TOS=0x1C PREC=0x20 TTL=112 ID=28668 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=1998 DPT=80 WINDOW=8160 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0 "
That happens when I'm trying to access internet with the XP box.

My question is : what file/files I have to configure that I can access internet from XP?
Or is there easier way to share connection?

Since you are using Mandrake 9.2, you can go to the Mandrake Control Center, you will have tosupply the root password, click on Network and Internet, you should see an icon called DrakGw. It will guide you through configuring a shared connection. Hope this helps.

Yep I'm familiar with the Control center and I've done the drakGw wizard.
It doesn't get any better... Now in the log is the following : "kernel: MASQUERADE: No route: Rusty's brain broke! "

The first post was because I try to edit shorewall files but now since I ran the wizard again I'm back
to where I started....


Please help someone.... I'm totally lost what to do. What commands should I use that I can set up the route correctly? Now routing table looks like this :
Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags MSS Window irtt Iface
dhcp * 255.255.255.255 UH 0 0 0 eth0
62.241.217.0 * 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 eth0
