HELP! New Kernel

I'm trying to get some sort of Kernel recompile going.

I tried with Kernel 2.4.22, which is what I am currently using, and something didn't work with that.

I'm now trying 2.5.75, and it "works," but my touchpad doesn't work, and my Cisco Aironet 350 PCMCIA card doesn't work, even though I have everything PCMCIA network related enabled.

Any ideas? How can I get the xconfig for 2.5.75 to use with 2.4.22?

Thanks!

Does the menuconfig option work?
Even booted under another kernel, make xconfig in the kernels top directory should work for any.

Sorry for not being clear...

make xconfig works just fine for 2.4.22, but the 2.5.75 kernel has a nicer interface for it.

This is because make xconfig for 2.5 is new and uses the kdelibs theirs also a gconfig (I think thats what is called) for GTK.

You can't use xconfig from one in the other. Their defined for each kernel version. 2.6 uses a similar look to 2.5
