Help networking SuSE 10.0 with Linksys 4-port router

I know this is something I should be able to do but it's just not working out for me. I was able to connect to the Internet once but I couldn't the next time I rebooted, even though I didn't change any settings. I'm using SuSE 10.0 and I set the default gateway to 192.168.1.1 and enabled IP forwarding. I tried pinging the router and it sees it, so I must have something configured wrong. Is there anything else I have to set? Is there a link someone can refer me to? Thanks much!

Are you using dhcp for ip address?

If so, start a terminal, su, and see what the output of ifconfig gives you.

You may have to take down the ethernet card, bring it back up, and do dhcpcd <card>

Apparently the wireless activating at boot time affected it. It's the only thing I changed and I changed it to manually, so now everything works fine. Thanks anyway!
