Help Networking Mandrivia with WinXP
 
I need some help networking my Linux and WinXP. I set up a network with my WinXP computer, and my linux can see with with Smb2k4(?) and I can see files on it. How do I set my linux to go off the same network so I can change files on my linux?

Hello riseinarms!
As I understood you correctly, you want to see files on the linux machine from WinXP. Well: did you share anything on your linux comp? Go to KControl -> Inrenet and Networking -> file sharing. Here admin mode. Add.. button, choose folder, cross the share with samba part, add permissions (read, write...). And you're done. You also have to check out your firewall settings, becouse it is possible, that it doesn't let through your Win to the linux box, so you cannot see it.
