PS: I am not referring to Brian. He has been very patient with our english.
Did you post this in the wrong thread Chaitanya?

Hi Chaitianya,

Because it's your first post in this thread and I don't see any reason why you should mention the language problem that sometimes occurs in the forums. What in your post relates to the question asked by the OP or to the remarks made by other members? That's why I thought you posted in the wrong thread and asked you about it. No harm intended.

Kind regards,

Eric

Hi,

Must be the heat, having a heatwave here in Barcelona, sorry for missing your posts. But where's the reference to a language problem?

Kind regards,

Eric

Hence my confusion (missing the reference). Yes, there's a heatwave passing by here. Temperatures are reaching 45 in the south of Spain. Were in the middle of the summer here.

Kind regards,

Eric

Hints and guidance are as much as you can reasonably expect to get. It's your responsibility to do the major legwork yourself.

You've been given some places to start looking, so get on Google and do some research. Then perhaps when you have specific questions or problems you might get more detailed help working through them.

Hey, you know what, if you have good knowledge of a thing then that dosent mean that you will play with others. You have opted to be a volunteer and i have not at all forced you to reply to my thread. But instead of helping you are playing. If i had to search on google then i might have done that directly, whats the benefit of asking help here. Atleast you all have given some briefing of the solution, just a name ssh tunnel thats it. Now you have given the name, i will search on net then i will again have some query and i will post it back here and then again u will give me another hint and process will go on and on till ages. If you are helping someone then do it with the gesture of help not with the gesture of sympathy or smthng like that. I know you are not being paid but at the same time no one is forcing you to get in and reply.

If you are helping someone then please be clear with your solution. And if this forum is here to just give these incomplete hints on the name of help then please admin reconsider the main motto of your forum. I joined this forum with lots of hope that i will get help from some linux genius but instead you all are playing.

Main motto of this forum is
1. Not to spoon feed !
2. To guide a person in the right direction !

If you have joined this forum for getting your "homework questions" and "office tasks" solved by US without any efforts on your part, then I think you are in the wrong forum !

EDIT
How about thanking the people above who have tried to help you ?

A note about what LQ does and does not do: We are here to help. By running Linux you have complete control over your system - this means that you need to follow the following rule (from the LQ Rules)
Quote:
We would like to stress that you should fully understand what a recommended change may do to your system. You should not give anyone you do not know login information to your system. LinuxQuestions.org cannot be held liable for anything you do as a result of information obtained at this site.
Note that I have bolded the important parts.

By pointing you at the information we are providing you with far more help than by giving you ready packaged answers. This way you will understand what you need and understand the answers. It also means that if an answer does not provide you with a full solution you will have the tools you need to work towards the correct answer.

As for your comment:

Answer me this: do your teachers give you all of the answers without making you do any work? That is what we are here for - to help you learn to help yourself.

Briefings have been given to you in Post # 7 and Post # 10.

Your duty now is to read up on Google about them and then post back your specific questions !

To All You Non-Native English Speakers:

I think you are all doing a GREAT job! Your English is often better than some native English speakers- and I often have no clue that so many of you are in non-English countries, until I look at your location.

I'm certainly not capable of conversing about computers in another language. I admire the ability of you all!

And Chaitanya: Your English in particular is quite good! (I don't know what it is, but being originally from New York, where there are lots of Indians, I must say that as a group, people from India seem to do very well with the English language. Virtually all Indians that I encountered spoke better English than my neighbors who have been here for generations!) [The Chinese do very well, too -which always amazed me, considering the vast differences in our languages and alphabets....]

Call me a racist if you will...but Asians are smart!

You were, but didn't follow up on them or read them.

You were given things to do/try, but didn't. What do you expect...someone to come there, and do it for you? Read the article for you and say "Type in xxx, and press ENTER"?? No, GUIDANCE was given...it's up to you to follow it.

You have as much a voice in the community as anyone...but you are not using it wisely. You were directed to the LQ rules also..did you read them? Skip over the parts about not using texting-shorthand??? Spell your words out..it's "you", not "u", etc.

Also, if your 'friend' challenged you to do this, I hope they'll be there to give yo a job, after you get fired. Because everywhere I've worked, IT polices are in place to govern what you do with company resources. Circumventing those polices leads to someone losing their jobs. Have you bothered to think about this??? If the polices are there...does it not occur to you that there are people CHECKING those things, and will notice if you start doing something bad?
