ntfs is mounted same as other file system types
mount -t ntfs /dev/hda1 /myntfs
if this does not work then it may not be enabled in the kernel
some distros will install it by default when you install windows connectivity
write access to ntfs is dangerous
run this command
if you see this
/dev/hda1 on /myntfs type ntfs (rw)
then you can really screw things up on that ntfs partition.
I would use the ro option
mount -t ntfs -o ro /dev/hda1 /myntfs
/dev/hda1 on /myntfs type ntfs (ro)
Mandrake 8.1 by default installed the rw option
RedHat does not install the option at all by default
